How The Perimeter Deluxe Comfort Contact Dog Fence System Works
A Containment System is the cost-effective alternative to traditional fencing. You create an in-ground hidden fence using a boundary wire. The detailed instruction manual / DVD guides you through the easy-to-follow self-installation process.

When your dog is wearing a containment collar and approaches the boundary area, he hears a warning tone. If he continues toward the boundary, he receives a harmless but effective electrical stimulus that reminds him to stay in the "safe" part of the yard.
You can also use a containment system to block off areas such as gardens, swimming pools, or anywhere else you don't want your dog to go. If you have a traditional fence, but a dog who likes to dig under or jump over it, installing the boundary wire just inside the perimeter of the fence could be your answer. Here are some sample layouts.

Perimeter Safety Features
Comfort Contacts
Comfort Contacts cushion your pet’s neck with soft rubber. Comfort Contacts are manufactured in a special process that impregnates the rubber with a conductive material yet retains the comfort of flexible contacts. Veterinarians prefer Perimeter’s rubber Comfort Contacts to help avoid serious skin irritation and injuries. Perimeter Technologies is the only containment system to feature medium rubber Comfort Contacts. Comfort Contacts are also available in short and large sizes which increase or decrease length by 1/8” from the base medium length of 5/8”. Also included are metal long hair probes for our furrier friends.
12X Battery Check
Your pet’s safety depends on the condition of the fence collar battery. Only Perimeter has 12X Battery Check ™ which monitors the condition of the battery every two hours, all day, every day. 12X Battery Check ™ actually measures the batteries ability to supply the right amount of power when needed. Other systems check only once when the voltage drops and are prone to false low battery indications- wasting your time and money.
Temp Check
Safer designs are measured in degrees and making a product to safely contain your pet in the great outdoors is no small feat. The performance of electronics and batteries can vary greatly with temperature fluctuations. Except Perimeter that is. Ordinary pet fence collars sensitivity can vary up to 100% with temperatures between 90 degrees F and 30 degrees F. As temperatures fluctuate your pet’s fence will actually shrink and expand by up to 12 feet!
Perimeter systems are stable over temperature with a variance of only 5% or 6 inches, leaving Perimeter-contained dogs everywhere thankful they don’t have to guess where their boundary is today.
Wire Check
Automatically compensates for wire problems and adjusts the amount of signal power to ensure the fence boundary remains in a constant location.
Safer designs for the things you can’t see
In testing, Perimeter Technologies came across a clever little terrier that discovered that holding her head at a certain angle would cause the collar to fail to pick up the fence signal, giving her a ticket to freedom…and certain danger. As a result, Perimeter Technologies designed-in an ingenious omni-directional antenna design that picked up the fence signal no matter what position the collar is in.

The simple elegance of the Perimeter design puts the wall-mount system controls right where they need to be: configurable by the end user and not in a service call as with other pet fence systems.
